Mexico R&R

Follow Me on Pinterest

Hello,
Sorry for the lack of communication over the past 2 weeks I have been off having some very much needed R&R in Mexico on the Mayan Riviera. It was fantastic but also a full scale military operation. Getting not only Phil and I packed but Rex ready for Auntie P's and for the Grandparents. Yes it was just the hubbie and I for a whole 7 days. I was racked with guilt and excitement in equal measures.Rex had a wonderful time and was thoroughly spoilt and so did we.  It was so brilliant to be just me and just Phil and I for a change. It was such a luxury being able to just walk out the door with no bag! I spent the first couple of days just trying to relax as I didn't know what to do with myself as I had nothing to do ! It was so amazing just to be able to read a book in fact two of them cover to cover.Currently before the holiday I have been managing to read one book over a couple of months. Mexico is such an incredible place full of the most amazing textiles, food, people and Mayan splendour. Not forgetting of course the Margaritas, oh you wonderful drink how I miss you already. It feels all like a magical dream now and the tan stripped off me by the awful weather we returned to. Mexico we hope to see you again soon. I want to show my little boy round next time! x

Easter Fun & DIY Decorations

Follow Me on Pinterest

As u can imagine in our home we are in the Easter mood. We have been Easter egg hunting and stroking baby ducklings and rabbits. We also made some egg decorations by blowing a few eggs and painting them. This I have never done before and is a lot harder than I had anticipated. Blowing the yolk out takes some serious puff and then to paint them it takes layers and layers to get an even colour. We got there in the end after lots of scrambled and broken eggs later. Meet our fluro french character and polka dot eggs. Of course I had to make a pom pom chicken for Rex that was a given, with a beak and feet made out of felt. All hung on the painted twigs that I had used for my table decoration from Christmas.
Also arriving in the post was a wonderful surprise Easter gift of some gorgeous hand made bunting by Jill Lance A.K.A Mummy Lance. In beautiful spring like fabrics which she makes to order. If anyone is interested in putting an order in, let me know know and I will forward you her details.
Thank you Jill I Love my bunting x

Happy Easter Everyone!

Hope yours is filled with Sun, Love, Fun and lots of Chocolate.

Supra Launch

We were very kindly invited to the UK launch of the Supra Kids and Womens collections on Friday afternoon.
It was such a messy, fantastic, fun event. Each child was given their very own pristine white pair of Skytop Supra's to pimp up. Customisation help was on hand from Pete Fowler who creates amazing monsters and artwork. There was some of his monsters in plain mask form to be also doused suitably in paint too by our little monsters. While I was trying to stop Rex from also painting him self and the white walls of the studio space. I was gazing longingly at the Supra womens collection. Amazing ! I wanted every pair. I snapped a few of my faves below. How beautiful are the day glo sequin ones, a great way to slip in the fluro trend for the summer.
Thank you Supra for such a fun avo.

Mama Style

I think my outfit was definitely inspired by not only the glorious weather but my all time fave style icon Frida Kahlo. Love a flower in the hair and some Heidi plaits. So glad its getting hot as I always feel a bit silly with flowers in my hair in the dead of winter. You can get away with wearing a lot more fun stuff in the summer.
We had a lot packed into our day on Friday with a trip into London town for a launch and to meet Daddy, A.K.A Phil from work.
Rex then had his first Friday night out in Soho. Oh how times have changed we were all at home and tucked up in bed pooped by 9:30pm x
